1. Weekly Art Challenge #39 (July 26th-August 2nd): Draw people dancing!
This challenge is really straightforward: just draw people dancing. They can dance solo, in groups, with partners, while singing into a hairbrush, it doesn’t matter, so long as you do your part to capture the motion of dance in your drawing. Any dance style you want, any character you want, even fanart, it’s all good as long as they’re dancing.
I recommend looking up videos on YouTube as well as still images for reference, because that’s the only way to really see the motion you’re looking for.
Dynamic poses can be a real challenge for a lot of people, and as such, people, myself included, seem to shy away from them and go for much easier and more neutral poses. Dancing is just about as dynamic as it gets, though, which makes it a great challenge for anyone to draw, even if you do use more dynamic posing in your art.
When you’re done, submit your piece here.
If you don’t make it in time for the deadline, just post your submission on your own blog, tagging it as weekly art challenges (and track that tag if you want to see more submissions!).

PS Sorry this is a day late (and actually like a week late), I keep forgetting, oops.
