WAC’s Guidelines and FAQs: Please read this before submitting!

This is Weekly Art Challenges, not Weekly Art Doodles. Please keep this in mind. We won’t be rejecting pictures because of this, but we usually get submissions that are like “oh, I just did a quick doodle so I could make it in time” - try to avoid this. The point of WAC is to challenge yourself, so if you participate, try your best to do something great! If you can’t make it before the deadline, wait for next week’s challenge, or submit your picture to your blog using our tag. Every piece that makes it here is viewed by almost 2000 followers, so you’d better want it to be good and show your effort!
How do I submit something on WAC? Just go to our Submission page, and send us your work! Note that the default for submissions is a “Text post” - however, we highly encourage clicking there and changing it to a “Photo” post! That way we can avoid broken links, Photobucket errors, etc (we get those a lot). Text posts are only to be used in case of mature content, so you can post your images under a cut. Otherwise, please submit as a photo. Seriously, do it.
Do you accept mature content? Yes. Artistic nudity is perfectly fine, but it you’re going for something more mature than that (or explicit gore, or who knows), we ask you to submit your pictures under a cut with a proper warning. We want to be respectful with our audience, don’t we? Yes we do.
Can I submit my challenge after said challenge’s week is over? No. We only accept submission for each week’s challenge until Wednesday, 11:59 PM (the last day stated on the challenge post!). If you couldn’t make it through the deadline, you can still submit to your own blog and use the “weekly art challenges” tag!
Was my submission accepted/why wasn’t my submission accepted/will you tell me if my submission is not accepted? Sorry, but we can’t notify you if your submission has or has not been accepted. We simply don’t have the time for it. We only reject submissions when they don’t follow the guidelines we have for each challenge, so be careful and try to follow them! If you have any questions about the challenge, just ask us and we’ll answer as soon as we can!
